We are renovating this condo over the next couple weeks! Demo was… a challenge for sure, as working in buildings always is. This one has a special twist.. which we might just reveal when we are complete! Stay tuned for for that!!! Source
Demo complete this week on a classic kitchen and bathroom renovation on a wartime home. They put so much effort into how things were put together during that time. So much wire mesh, cement.. and of course lath and plaster!! Stay tuned on this one! Source
The special order siding kept us from completing this cute shed for a few weeks. Well it is finally complete.. and we couldn’t be happier. The vinyl looks just like real cedar.. well worth the wait! Source
We have been working away… mostly in the sunshine on this multi-level front yard. Over 700′ of 6×6 retaining walls.. Countless amounts of aggregate.. and today.. a few pavers!! To say this one is a challenge is accurate for sure. Check out the last pic.. which is what we started with! Enjoy the weekend!!! Source
Want your retaining walls to stay plumb and square.? It’s not the frost heaving at the base that’s the issue. Hydro Impaction.. When water mixes with soils and creates large amounts of pressure, the water stayes in the soil and together, they push on the wall. Clear aggregate should always be the first backfill used.
We beat the rain and we’re able to get this Sod from Fairgreen Sod Farms installed Friday. The last item on the list before we take a bit of a spring break. See you on the next one… Source
Completed this tidy turf job thos morning. The key really is the infill. It gives the turf some of its softness back after being installed on quite a solid base. It’s also antimicrobial and will assist in maintaining a clean space regardless of children or pet mess! Source
Spent a few days outside of the city this week. A bit of storm repair mixed with just the right amount of relaxation! 😎 Source
What happend to the sunshine? Guess we will sort this out in the cold. 🥶 Source

Paint is actually where we started. Before any of the "project" based stuff Brent was a painter. Starting in 1998 he was taught by the best.

Nothing tops off a back yard retreat like water. The sounds of a waterfall can make you think you have left the city, but without the 2 hour drive.
