Operating from Toronto Ontario, we are a project based construction company specializing in exterior residential projects and paint. Decks, fences, ponds, paint, gardens outdoor kitchens and more. Transform a back yard, or repair a small porch, regardless of the size of your project it needs to have a plan. All aspects of projects are handled by PMB from planning to construction and overall management. Using project management methods and practices help keep us transparent as a company, as well as keep our clients clear on what’s happening, when it’s happening, and how much it’s costing.

It all starts with the plan… PMB will help you plan your project first. We will go over all requirements with you to make sure you (and us) know what you want, how long it will take, and how much it will cost. Planning is the foundation to any completed project.

So what is project management?

Well a project is an endeavor to accomplish a specific objective through a unique set of interrelated tasks and the effective utilization of resources. Its objective is well defined in terms of scope, schedule and cost. To manage a project effectively there are methods and tools that are used to make sure that we capture expectations, and to plan and track the schedule, the cost, and the quality of the scope of work. A good plan will foresee issues before they pop up and cause delays or budget overruns.

Now keep in mind, 1 of these 3 will always suffer a hit during any project. You just need to decide which one. For most people quality is ranked number one on the so called project triangle, with cost and schedule flipping between 2 and 3 depending on the person and the situation.

You cannot have a project completed with the best quality, in the shortest amount of time, and with the least amount of budget. So pick the two you want to focus on, and don’t worry so much about the third lagging behind.
